Our own mental activity plays a really big role in our digestion and that's not just food, it's any information you're taking into the body.
In Chinese Medicine, our mind, spleen and stomach all connect, and when they are in harmony we are likely to have great digestion, whereas if there is disharmony we see things such as "damp" accumulate within the body.
